Mobile Marketing Trends Up

 

• 85% of the U.S. consumers are using mobile phones

  -  85% of Generation Y
  -  82% of Generation X

  -  80% of Baby boomers

 

•  21% of mobile marketing responders indicated that they responded to three or more offers per month

 

• 24% of those surveyed have responded to a mobile offer.

 

• One-third of the group that did not respond to any mobile marketing reported that they had never received an offer.

 

•  42.8 million Americans participate in mobile marketing campaigns (as of June 2007) SMS based interactive campaigns experience response rates up to 70%

 

•  51% (28 million) of all mobile customers are open to mobile ads

 

• 12.5 billion text messages sent in June 2006, 71% annual increase. Over 241 Billion in 2007. This year it is expected to reach over 300 billion .

 

•  89% of all major global brands will market via mobile by 2008 . Mobile marketing has a 95% read rate. Paper advertising 2%, and email 8%
